Currently, I’m in my first year studying Architecture in London Metropolitan University. My interest in the field started a few years back while watching Grand Designs on tv and thinking to myself that I could do this, and I would love to do what they do, ultimately have the knowhow of how to design and build my dream home. After spending a lot of my free time trying to teach myself how to draw, how to understand buildings, I started to put some of my ideas down. Eventually I continued my education from a creative field of media to an even more creative field of design. I encourage and breath creative thinking and design and I am a very visual person. I believe design is such a stimulating subject which will help me grow in many parts of life. I am interested and I study a wide range of subjects in my own time such as art, humanity, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, sports, history and spirituality to mention a few of the main ones.
My main focus in architecture is residential design, high end luxurious living spaces. I like to work from scratch, designing a building from start to the very finishes of materials and furniture. I am also interested in renovation, combining the old with the new materials to form a modern space. As part of my future plans I also want to be involved in third world development, building essential buildings such as schools, in very underdeveloped countries.
I take reference and have been highly influenced by architecture eras of the Renaissance and minimalism. Looking at past and currently operating designers, I follow and take inspiration from Make Architects, Jacque Fresco, Norman Foster, Gaudi for example. Below I collected images which would validly paint a picture of my style of architecture.
