We are formed as part of our first year project to create and explore the industry of architecture. We look into existing practices and take inspiration to realise what we as architects want to do in the future.
We have a common ground of interests in regeneration, landscape architecture especially gardens, and the different use of glass. We like honest architecture. Raising the question what is honest architecture? It means to us a great deal to meet clients requirement, to stay true to our design style and to connect indoors with the surrounding nature. Our preference is buildings made out of glass, a material which opens up the space, allows a great interconnection with what’s on the other side of the wall. When one looks at a building, one sees what it is all about. We like minimalism, straight lines combines with curves in a luxurious way.
As architects, we have a duty of care in being aware and considering our environment, the society and the users in our designs. Commercial architecture, such as schools, museums, public buildings have to keep in mind how the design will effect the way people in hundreds of years of time will look at architecture of our era; they will have to think about our changing world and the design have to reflect the ability to cope with the growing needs of users. Architectures of the future will definitely not want to deal with problems such as building extra lines of a highway running across a two kilometre long bridge, which forms an essential route for thousands of people every day such as they do for the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne, a project that won the British Construction Industry Award in 2012. Residential projects are more simpler in consideration, as they are built for one client for the purpose of their needs only. In England, planning permission often don’t allow designs to be very unique as they would stand out of their environment, although that doesn’t stop designers to let their imagination flow. At Zsuke we design for residential projects so our Duty of Care is to consider the client today and their changing needs that might occur tomorrow, we have to consider everyone coming into contact with the building and it’s surroundings.
Our style is sleek, elegant and shining.
